What is NEST 2024?

NEST is a required exam for admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar and the University of Mumbai’s Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS) in Mumbai. The Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, established these institutes in 2007 with the goal of training scientific experts for advanced research and contributing to the Department of Atomic Energy’s and other Indian applied science institutions’ scientific projects.

NISER announced the NEST 2024 Result on July 12th, 2024 at nestexam.in. Candidates must use their login ID and password to get the results. Candidates with better scores will be given preference throughout the tie-breaking process.Admissions to NEST 2024 are processed using a Minimum Admissible Percentile (MAP) approach. This MAP represents the minimal percentile score necessary in the test to qualify, which changes based on the candidate’s category.

To be eligible, students in the General category must score at least 95 percentile, while those in the OBC category must score at least 90 percentile. For SC/ST/Divyangjan applicants, the 75th percentile is the minimum qualifying MAP.

NEST 2024 was held in two sessions on June 30th, 2024, with separate sets of question papers utilised for each. The test was conducted in over 120 places throughout India.The overall difficulty level of the test was relatively easy.

About Nalanda Open University 15th Convocation

Passed Post Graduate, Post Graduate Diploma and Graduate Examinations

Various courses are taught at Nalanda Open University, for which students are given certificates when they pass the course examination.

 

In this connection, Nalanda Open University will organize the 15th convocation ceremony for those students, under which certificates will be given to the students who have passed the postgraduate, postgraduate diploma and graduate examinations of 2020 and 2021.

The 15th Convocation of Nalanda Open University will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 01:00 PM at Bapu Auditorium, Samrat Ashok Convention Center, North Gandhi Maidan, Patna.

Intermediate and Certificate Courses

 

Intermediate and Certificate Courses students are not required to attend the convocation ceremony. After the ceremony is over, such students can get the degree by depositing a bank draft of Rs.1250 till January 31, 2023 and Rs.1500 after February 01, 2023.

Dress Code for Nalanda Open University Convocation 2023

All the students (boys and girls) have to follow this rule to attend the convocation ceremony.

  • To attend this ceremony, all the girl students must attend in white salwar and coloured kurta or coloured red border saree and red blouse.
  • To attend this function, all the students must be present in a white kurta and pyjama or white dhoti and kurta. Along with this, all the students will be given Malviya Turban and Angavastram at the venue of the convocation by the university.

Application Fee

The Application fee can be submitted through offline or online mode.

  • 1250 Rs Bank Draft, which is made in the name of Nalanda Open University, Patna or online payment through SBI Collect, can be done by 04 January 2023
  • Those students of Post Graduate, Post Graduate Diploma and Graduation, who will not be able to attend the ceremony for any reason, can get the degree by depositing a bank draft of Rs.1500/- on a working day after the completion of the ceremony.

  • You will now see the Online Application Form for the XVth Convocation of 2022 (Only for Students Passed in the Years 2020 & 2021), which you must fill out with the necessary information.
  • Enter Enrolment but Not Registration No full name given (in English)
  • Exam Year Choose Course
  • Correspondence Address Permanent Address (Click if Permanent Address is same as correspondence Address)
  • Upload the last year’s admit card (gif, jpg, or png) (max 100 KB), and then add the final year’s grades online.
  • Select “Self-Declaration” and then press the “Submit” button.
  • The online payment page is shown on the following screen.
  • Make a payment and print the application form receipt for your records.
